New Features
- New flight software: one autopilot core flies the ascent, hot staging, booster return, landings and re-entry
- The Ship is now caught on tower 1
- A new planner globe you drag, tilt, turn and zoom from the whole Earth down to a few km, with EARTH and SOLAR SYSTEM tabs
- A planner timeline with a track per vehicle, and a result card with the plan's verdict and each vehicle's results
- A maneuver list for each flight type: tap runs a maneuver, double tap cancels (SPACE on the keyboard)
- Payload bay: hold the left stick to open or close the door, tap to release a satellite
- Four camera slots per vehicle, a Starlink camera and picture-in-picture
- A new PLATINUM medal, daily challenge chips and share codes
- Parked Cybertrucks, the rocket garden and Starhopper around the site, and a new pad lighting rig
- The game writes a log file for bug reports
Modified Features
- The booster returns the way V3 flies: later staging, no entry burn, the landing burn on 13 engines
- The booster keeps five engines burning through hot staging
- RCS thrusters at their real places on both vehicles
- One control table for keyboard and gamepad; the engine button picks, starts and steps down engine sets
- With the autopilot off, nothing on your vehicle runs by itself
- Assist levels renamed AUTOMATIC, ASSISTED, MANUAL and EXPERT
- The flight screen is laid out in zones with nothing in the middle of the view; the navball carries heading, pitch, roll, throttle and vertical speed
- Menus rebuilt in one style; the Controls page has KEYBOARD and GAMEPAD tabs; Credits has a PATRONS list
- Starbase re-laid out with 21 re-imported models
- Earth, ocean, fireball and smoke looks rebuilt
- The car screen shows range, compass marks and your speed units; brake lights only when braking
Bug Fixes
- Restart really restarts and clears the explosion
- Flaps and engines answer your controls while the vehicle sits on the pad
- Prograde and retrograde were swapped in target mode on the navball
- Planner trajectory lines hide behind the Earth
- No more jump at stage separation or stutter during burns
Known Issues
- Windows only: no Mac build this time
- Booster catches at tower 2 usually miss
- The booster lights its landing burn too high
- Ship landings are imprecise; sea and Moon landings come down too hard
